The red partridge is the indigenous partridge of our estate. It is characterized by its strength, bravery, and high flight. The shooting arrangements at La Caminera Estate are designed to take full advantage of the natural flight of the red partridge: vertical flights, very high, with sustained speed and long trajectories that challenge the accuracy of shotguns. This translates into selective hunting, with tense shots and very technical throws, where only the hunter with good reflexes and skill can take advantage of the strength and height of this robust partridge.

At La Caminera, we offer more than 20 different hunts, all designed to maintain the purity and challenge of the classic red partridge hunt. Typically, each hunting day organizes 5 hunts per day, adapted to the group's level and each hunter's preferences.
A standard two-day hunt includes 10 custom-configured hunts, allowing for adjustment of the pace and intensity according to the shooters' skills, the desired number of partridges, and the characteristics of the group. This flexibility ensures that each party experiences a personalized adventure, with different hunting scenarios within the estate and attention from a dedicated professional team.

The La Caminera estate is located in Spain, in the heart of La Mancha, in the municipality of Torrenueva, just 70 kilometers from Ciudad Real and about a two-hour drive from Madrid.

This privileged enclave, at an altitude of 550-800 meters, alternates Manchego plains with mountains, ravines, and streams, ideal for small game hunting on its 1,000 hectares of biodiversity, where the red partridge finds its perfect habitat alongside other game species.

We offer privileged access for the hunter who values comfort and quick arrival to the Manchego hunting territory.
The private airfield on the estate allows for direct landings with planes of up to 20 passengers. We have an approved runway, a hangar, and complete airfield services.​

By car, it is easily accessible from Madrid (2 hours, 220 km), Ciudad Real (45-50 minutes), or Valdepeñas (20 minutes). We have ample free parking for SUVs and trailers.​
By train, the Valdepeñas station is 20 minutes from the estate, and the AVE Ciudad Real station is 1 hour away. We offer private transfers from both stations for the greater comfort of the hunter and their team.

At La Caminera, our red partridge hunting season runs approximately from September 15 to March 31, making the most of the hunting period.

This extended duration, beyond the general small game hunting season in the region (from October 12 to January 31), sets us apart, offering up to 5 drives per day on our 1,000 hectares during the key months of October to March, when the red partridge displays its best hunting behavior under the Manchegan skies.

For non-EU origins, such as the U.S., we obtain the ATF Visitor's Permit and temporary import authorizations, coordinating with customs and airlines for a seamless transit.

Regional hunting license
We also process the Castilla-La Mancha Hunting License, valid for one year, which legally qualifies the hunter for the day in our Manchegan plains, with all documents printed and ready to be presented to any authority requirement.

The hunter who wishes to participate in a hunting day at Finca La Caminera must provide a series of essential documents to comply with current regulations in Spain and ensure a hassle-free experience. These documents include:

• Valid official identification: DNI for Spaniards, NIE or passport for foreigners.
• Current hunting license, whether from another Spanish Autonomous Community or another country.
• Valid firearms license for hunting.
• Civil liability insurance for hunting activity.

If the shooter does not have insurance, Finca La Caminera manages the hiring of an appropriate one for the duration of the stay and the hunting activity, thus ensuring the necessary coverage for practicing hunting in the area. The hunting day at Finca La Caminera begins after a homemade breakfast at the hotel, where the shooters prepare for the day. In the Hunters' Lounge, a draw for positions is conducted, introducing each hunter to their support team, which consists of a secretary and a loader who will accompany them throughout the day.

Once organized, the teams travel in all-terrain vehicles across the extensive estate to reach the various drives, which usually number five per day. While they prepare, a snack is provided for the hunters, taking the opportunity to explain the safety measures and how the day will unfold.

Mid-morning, a stop is made to rest and enjoy a rustic snack at the estate; if the companions prefer not to participate in the hunt, the estate offers to pick them up from the hotel to take them to the lunch spot in the field. The day continues with the remaining drives until completion, after which the participants enjoy a meal in the field before returning to the hotel to relax in the spa, in the exclusive Hunters' Lounge, or play on the golf course surrounding the estate.
